In my short few years living here since moving to join the team at the Port of Port Townsend, I’ve discovered many hidden gems. Last week’s Blue Heron Tales, Text and Theater at Centrum was perhaps my favorite. Tales, Text and Theater is a perfect example of the place-based learning model that makes Port Townsend schools unique.
Matching Centrum and its nearly 50 year history in this arts community with sixth-grade students is simply brilliant. What an amazing opportunity for our kids to work with Centrum’s world class facility at Fort Worden!
With gratitude for those who make this happen and high expectations for my younger kids.
