I have lost a number of friends to cancer. It is a hideous disorder.
I started studying cancer 12 years ago when my brother-in-law came down with a slow-spreading lymphoma. We had time, so we decided to try an alternative treatment.
We took the 60-year-old Budwig Cancer Diet and added vitamins, minerals and supplements and eliminated sugar and starch from his diet. In one year, his lymph glands had returned to normal, and a hollow needle biopsy did not show any cancer.
In Jefferson County, we have three excellent naturopathic doctors and several doctors who practice integrative medicine. The two oncologists are open to diet and supplements to complement conventional treatment.
Cancer is not caused by genetic damage or mutations. Cancer is a metabolic disorder that can be reversed. Ninety percent of a cell’s energy is produced by the mitochondria in a cell, and 10 percent by fermentation in the protoplasm. If the mitochondria quits producing energy, then all of the energy has to be produced by fermentation, which does not require oxygen.
The fermentation produces lactic acid and energy. The lactic acid causes the cell to become very acidic. In a low-oxygen acidic environment, the cell reverts to a more primitive life form better suited to a low-oxygen acidic environment.
This new life form is cancer. Rapid cell division and random mutations are part of the survival strategy. Google Rob Wolf, “The Origin of Cancer,” and Thomas Seyfried Ph.D., “Cancer as a Metabolic Disease.”
