The April meeting of the Port Townsend branch of AAUW features three women who are to discuss their role in the creation and ongoing work of several organizations that contribute to the local community.

The meeting is 9:30-11:30 a.m., Saturday, April 15 at the Elks Lodge, 555 Otto St.

The final presentation in a series on women in charge, the AAUW PT program features panelists Martha Olbrych from Working Image, Jean Camfield from Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County, and Teresa Verraes, who is representing The Boiler Room.

“These and so many more volunteer-run organizations have sprung from the same premise – see the need and step up for change,” said Jeanie Glaspell, AAUW PT program cochair. “Our program is aimed at encouraging each of us to ask what steps we can take for the common good.”
