Putin/Russia clamped down on their media because they were telling the truth, Trump curses the biased MSM because they promulgate lies, distortions, half-truths, and opinions passed off as news, when the press does that it's not journalism it's propaganda. On that topic, can you cite where Trump praised Putin as a "fine fellow"? I've read the stories about how he said Putin was a "smart fellow, politically savvy". Was that a stupid, un-politic thing to say? Yes! but I've never seen where Trump said he was a "fine fellow".

I hope, especially these days, that any first-time voter when deciding who to vote for will do their own research and not trust that the MSM always tells the truth. "Thank goodness we still have a Free Press to pass along the Truth." Is that what the NYT and WaPo and other biased Media did regarding the false Trump/Russia collusion stories that they promulgated for more than a year? How many first-time voters were swayed by that made-up story?
