Wooden Boat Festival presents free online look back at 2020 event

The Wooden Boat Festival is presenting an online look back at its virtual 2020 event.

Celebrate the passion and craft behind wooden boats by watching complementary content from last year’s screen-centered production; included are hundreds of hours of footage ranging from boat shop tours to feature presentations.

Feature presentations include the Wooden Boat Festival origin story, the Viking ship “Draken,” “Ceiba,” and more. Viewers can go on a small boat adventure, great or small, or follow the journeys of tall ships.

People can also tour behind-the-scenes boat shops and builders from Australia to Japan, the East Coast, and the Pacific Northwest, including Brion Toss Yacht Riggers, Hereshoff, Devlin, and Seiichi Nasu, among others.

Also featured are special COVID builds, and projects by house-bound boatbuilders.

The content is available through Sunday, Sept.12, free of charge; visit https://woodenboat.org/vwbf2020/ to view.

Viewers can support the Wooden Boat Festival and the Northwest Maritime Center by donating at https://nwmaritime.org/give/, or purchase 2021 festival merchandise at https://shop.woodenboatchandlery.org/collections/wooden-boat-festival-2021.
