Womxn's March: With an x

Women with an ‘x’ Port Townsend’s Womxn’s March on Jan. 21, which drew an estimated 1,000 people, was in conjunction with the Womxn’s March in Seattle. The “x” in the word “women” was first used by organizers of the Seattle march to show solidarity with the transgender community, according to march organizers. The march in Port Townsend was organized by Emelia De Souza, a transgender woman. A number of people called The Leader last week believing the x was a misspelling. It was not. Photo by Allison Arthur
