I’ve been seeing a lot in print lately about the need for accommodating business as some sort of cure-all for the problems of overpopulation.
More than a few opportunists are ever ready to ravage Mother Nature for little more than short-term pleasure. There is lobbying in their behalf by others at every turn.
More people, more jobs – fewer trees, less access to the true outdoors for everyone. Somehow that’s supposed to be a positive thing. Fighting over water, fish and elbow room. We’re over-advertised these days by those seeking personal advantage and bragging rights over the short term that is their individual being.
We have about maxed out on the people this area can accommodate in preserving the comfort of us all. Enough already! Grudging welcome, many of you recent innocent newcomers merely seeking a better life in a quiet and innocuous way. My heart is with you, but please help close the door behind you.
I’m not against copulation, only population. Please support birth control. Please give a little thought to the possible ugliness of the future at the rate we’re going.
