High winds prompted the cancelation of ferry service on the Port Townsend-Coupeville route for much of Saturday, Dec. 24.
Weather conditions led to sailings being halted starting with the 8 a.m. Port Townsend to Coupeville sailing and the 8:45 a.m. Coupeville to Port Townsend sailing.
Service on the route was restarted at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Port Townsend to Coupeville sailing.
Low tides late Saturday also caused the cancelation of the 6:45 and 8:30 p.m. departures from Port Townsend and the 7:30 and 9:10 p.m. departures from Coupeville.
Washington State Ferries also canceled early morning sailings on the Port Townsend route on Monday, Dec. 26. High winds and rough seas prevented the 6:30 a.m. sailing from Port Townsend and the 7:15 a.m. sailing from Coupeville from running.
