Jefferson County Public Health’s Water Quality Division plans an open house for Hood Canal residents, 5-7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 5 at the Quilcene Community Center, 294950 U.S. Highway 101 in Quilcene.
The open house offers information on low-cost loan and grant programs to aid in septic system repairs; services available from Jefferson County Public Health to area residents; how residents can become certified to do their own septic system inspections; and the latest status on the water quality of the streams flowing into Quilcene and Dabob bays.
Short presentations are to begin at 5 p.m. Staff members are to be on hand to answer questions. Free water conservation gifts are available to all who attend.
