Crosspoint Academy outlasted Quilcene 27-16 in girls varsity basketball, with the Warriors running to a 27-16 victory on their home court in Bremerton.
The loss dropped the team’s record to 1-7.
“We led at halftime 14-13, but couldn’t make shots and turned the ball over too many times in the second half,” noted Quilcene Coach Mark Thompson.
The Rangers have a very inexperienced team who is still trying to find its way, he added.
“But they work hard in practice, have good attitudes and want to learn,” Thompson said.
Savannah McBride scored eight points for the Rangers, while Kaydence Yeoman added six, and Abby Ward contributed two.
