The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 218 calls for service between Saturday, Dec. 18 and Friday, Dec. 24. Below are selected reports.

At 11:52 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20 in Port Hadlock, a caller reported something suspicious.

Someone was pounding on his car, the caller said, and he could also hear voices outside.

The caller said he was home alone. He then heard someone pounding on the door, and was not sure how many people were outside.

Deputies responded and contacted four juveniles. They were sent home.

At 12:09 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21 in Port Hadlock, a caller heard someone banging on the door, and then heard someone screaming for help.

The noise continued for 10 minutes, then stopped. The voice appeared to belong to a woman.

The area was checked but nothing was found amiss.

At 12:06 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21 in Port Ludlow, a house was ransacked on Pioneer Drive.

A television and other items were missing from the home. Deputies investigating the break-in found two people the next day who were believed to be involved. They were arrested.

At 2:22 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22 in Nordland, a caller said someone was banging on their door and pushing it, trying to get inside.

The person then left in a white SUV.

A deputy located the subject, who was determined to be a family member.
