The U.S. Department of Agriculture no longer requires safety data reporting while simultaneously allowing faster production line speeds — a dangerous combination that will almost certainly lead to more worker injuries. Wherever animals’ rights are ignored, human lives are often treated as collateral damage.

Each year in the U.S., around 128 million pigs and 9 billion chickens — sensitive, inquisitive beings—are killed for their flesh. Most endure lives of extreme confinement and cruelty before facing a violent death.

Instead of supporting this broken system, let’s invest in vegetable farms and innovative vegan meat factories, where workers aren’t surrounded by suffering and slaughter. Animal agriculture is harmful on every level: to animals, the environment, our health, and the people working within it.

Please, go vegan.
