East Jefferson’s Alyssa Vandenberg had a career-best 50 — including a birdie on the second hole — during the girls golf matchup with Sequim at Cedars at Dungeness Golf Course last week.

Her previous best was 61 for nine.

In boys varsity golf play, Braley Phillips continues to pace the East Jefferson team.

Against Sequim, Phillips led the EJ golfs with a score of 46. Teammate Wilder Lewis finished in the No. 2 slot with a 51.

Cade Martin walked off the course with a 56 while Lane Liske came in at 57.

Sequim’s Dominic Riccobene took medalist honors with a 37, followed by the Wolves’ Ben Sweet close on his heels with a score of 39.

EJ’s next match is with Central Kitsap this week at Gold Mountain Golf Club.
