The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 233 calls for service between Saturday, Jan. 22 and Friday, Jan. 28. Below are selected reports.

At 7 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 24 in Port Ludlow, a resident reported a suspicious vehicle that was blocking a driveway.

The person in the vehicle was displaying “unusual body activity.”

The vehicle was gone when a deputy arrived at the scene.

At 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 24 in Chimacum, a caller said he ran a small business out of his home. He said his neighbors are getting older and are angry about the noise.

He also said they often shoot toward his home, using his cabin as a backstop. He was concerned that things seem to be escalating.

The caller wanted the incident to be documented.

At 11:35 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 24 in Port Ludlow, someone broke into a work truck overnight while the vehicle had been left in a fenced area over the weekend.

Aluminum pipe wrenches and two sets of gear wrenches were stolen.

At 1:35 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24 in Port Ludlow, a caller said someone in the neighborhood was trying to bully people about parking in the right of way. The person was being aggressive and unfriendly, and the caller wanted advice about what could be done.

The caller was advised about obtaining an anti-harassment order from the court.

At 8:50 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24 in Port Hadlock, a caller saw a U-Haul truck that had been backed up to a coffee stand. There was no one around, and the caller wasn’t sure if supplies were being dropped off or if someone was burglarizing the business.

The caller was told the coffee stand was closed for a remodel.

At 10:35 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24 in Port Hadlock, a caller reported seeing a prowler.

The caller wasn’t exactly sure if they had seen an intruder or not. Someone may have seen a body in a nearby greenhouse, but a check of the property found nothing amiss.

The caller said everything now appeared to be fine and a visit by law enforcement was not needed.
