Recently the East Jefferson County Ministerial Association released a powerful and important statement of support for the rights of immigrants and humanitarian treatment for everyone. Somehow, Unity was accidently not included so we are hereby joining our local faith community in this statement.
At Unity, we are an Authentic Transformative Spiritual Community that seeks to create a world that works for all. In living this, we clearly stand for treating all of life humanely and doing what we can to care for others regardless of their spiritual tradition, nationality, sexual orientation, or other bias-based distortions of our common humanity. In further expression of this dedication, we do prayers and programs regularly to promote compassion, harmony and a deeper sense of oneness.
Additionally, Unity supports our local immigrants’ rights group, JCIRA, with our tithes. We also provide a space for Terry Wagner to do her yoga events from which all proceeds go to JCIRA.
It is our joy to stand with our local community and with our global family of faith.
Many Blessings.
