The East Jefferson boys varsity tennis team fell to Central Kitsap 7-0 and Bainbridge 6-1 in action last week.
EJ Coach David Porter said the team’s reduced roster made it a tough go.
“We did win some individual matches that were actually forfeits because players can’t play twice the same day, but we only have eight eligible now,” Porter noted.
In No. 1 singles against Bainbridge on the road, East Jefferson’s Carter Cameron won 5-2, 6-2, 6-2 over Erik Perkins.
Reid Martin also notched a 6-2 win for East Jefferson in No. 3 singles.
Ben Martin was the sole winning singles player for East Jefferson against Central Kitsap. Martin bested Cameron Becker, 6-3, 6-1.
