Dave Stanko is a type A personality, who likes to get things done and has little tolerance for procrastination or obfuscation on the job. He runs a department of 46 full-time employees and 20 volunteers, that is responsible for patrolling all county roads, court house security, the security of several high schools, county shorelines, and the county jail. Does he have high expectation of his men and women? You bet!
Will he let them know if they’re not performing up to the standards of their job? You bet! Will he promote and demote based on a persons performance? You bet! Does that ruffles feathers? You bet! Is it easy? No way! It’s the tough part of leadership, something Dave doesn’t shrink from. He’s not in a personality contest and I think he’s doing a great job. Let him finish what he started. Re elect Dave Stanko.
