I live near Highway 101 in Brinnon. Highway 101 is a windy road from Quilcene to Hoodsport and also crosses over Mt. Walker. I have noticed more logging trucks going in both directions. I once followed one from Brinnon to Raymond. There are also logging trucks going north bound. I once counted three trucks in a row going northbound and another three trucks in row going southbound. I wish someone could explain to me why they go in both directions. Most logging trucks also push on me to go faster so I have to pull over to let them go by. They rarely follow the speed limit. I have also noticed more chip trucks going up and down 101 all day and night. They are taking the chips to the Port Townsend Mill. Can the mill get their chips from the Port Angeles area instead of from south 101?
Adding the numerous motorcycles that race up and and down the highway, it is getting more dangerous as time goes on. Can the logging trucks and chip trucks use Highway 104 as an alternate. Likewise, we need more patroling in the area.
