Some aspects of our social methodology have changed forever. Aside from immediate circumstances lies a mixed horizon. A planning process that makes short-term changes that only points to the previous model is merely suspending a solution. Quality governance will begin to craft structural changes that meet the future.
Tourist dependent economies like Port Townsend are vulnerable. Traditional lodging and restaurant design will change to accommodate a cautious and less densely packed clientele. Even airbnb will need a new spiel. Jefferson County’s economic engine will become less dependent on the tourist dollar.
Work from home careers will increase. Value will be added to jobs that place those workers at risk. Actuaries will be busy.
