I would like to thank Don Cady of the Port Townsend Parks Department for preventing an identity theft debacle.
My bank sent me new checks, but transposed the address numbers on the shipment to a non-existent address. Alas, that did not deter FedEx from deciding to drop those checks off somewhere and call it “delivered”; Although the time-worn cottage in Chetzemoka Park is quite obviously a maintenance shed and not a residence — and lacks a street number — FedEx left it there.
Fortunately, Mr. Cady was working that day, found the package and got it back to me. Thank you for your kindness and common sense; we sure need more of that on this planet.
