Pippa’s Real Tea, 636 Water St., presents an art show featuring the works of tattoo artist Clae Welch and retired graphic illustrator and designer Nancy Olson Van Allen. For each artist, their work experience is a co-creation with the client. Their recent work reflects the blurred line of creativity and life.
“In my imagination, I see magic in my memories, and these images show up in my artwork,” said Welch. “There is a mega story from these images that is constantly evolving.”
Van Allen uses her computer skills to compose an image which she paints from. “I try to capture the rapture of the moment with these composites – they are almost altered reality,” she said.
