Our beloved Tammy Lee Bocock, age 59, passed away peacefully at her childhood home in Post Falls, Idaho surrounded by her loving husband, family and friends on Monday, March 2, 2020. There will be laughter tears as we remember the Tammy we all knew and treasured. We ask all who knew and loved this beautiful woman to please share your condolences, funny stories and pictures.
Tammy was born Jan. 16, 1961 at what was then Kootenai hospital in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to George and Beulah Cleveland. She was the third of their three children – all girls. As an adult Tammy was determined to live life too the fullest. She was brave, independent, funny and lived to party. She began to travel extensively, Florida, Nevada, Alaska, Hawaii, just to name a few states she lived in during different seasons of her life.
She was a hard worker always trying different positions and fields and excelled at almost anything she tried, but she says the best thing she ever accomplished was to have her son Brad Cleveland, of whom she was so very very proud. And the happiest we ever saw her was during the last twenty-some years of her life, after she met and married her beloved Frankie, the man she described as her soulmate and her other half. They spent their 20 wonderful years together settled in the Port Hadlock area. Frankie, an electrician, and Tammy’s culinary career and her waitress career at the Hadlock House and up until she got sick was a waitress at the Bayview in Port Townsend. This allowed them to finally build and move into their dream home, where they spent their days with their precious dogs, her baking, sewing, crafting, motorcycle rides on the beach roads.
Tammy was a wonderful mother figure to Frankie’s previous children and an awesome grandmother as well. Though a life as filled with love and laughter should be cut short at such a young age seems so tragically unfair, we are grateful for those last years that Tammy was able to experience as much joy as she did and we will remain forever grateful to have had her in our lives.
Tammy was preceded in death by her sister Gwen Cleveland, her parents George Cleveland and Beulah Demarre and her great-grandparents Simmie and Wilma Demarre. Tammy is survived by her adoring husband Frankie Bocock and his children Kati, Frankie Jr., Nathaniel and Brianna and his grandchildren. Tammy’s son Brad Cleveland, and her granddaughter Zoe Cleveland are also deeply affected by her passing. Her sister Marcia Black, brother-in-law Larry Black and stepfather Wilbur Johnson already miss her immensely. Kendra and Jameson Martinez, her niece and great-nephew, were also very close to their aunt and ache with the loss as well as numerous other extended family and friends should be included on this list too, and you know who you are. We will hopefully see you at the celebration of Tammy’s life, I’m sorry I can’t list you all. The bottom line is that Tammy Cleveland Bocock was an extraordinary woman, a passionate funny creature, outspoken beautiful soul. She will be missed more than words could express.
