An open letter to Tom Locke: Concerning the recent activity at Tarboo Lake, I am hoping that, rather than further restricting the lives of the 95 percent of county residents that are doing their best to comply with your mandates, you will somehow come up with some ways to discourage the behavior of the few special people who are willfully ignoring common sense.
Perhaps closing the lake to further use for a while would be appropriate.
How about making this type of willfully risky activity subject to a ticket?
The vast majority of Jefferson County residents have been doing the work, and I personally am not willing to let my business or what is left of my social life suffer on account of someone else’s infantile behavior.
I appreciate your efforts to date, and hope you will keep seeing the big picture as it unfolds.
