I’m writing in support of John Mauro. I’ve read the recent papers and I’m saddened to hear there’s been some negative feedback. Just wanted to share a few things that I’ve appreciated about him being a part of the City. I have been working on getting lights installed at our local skatepark for a couple years so I’ve attended a few city council meetings and had conversations with all the city council members in that context. Throughout that project John was always very positive and supportive. I felt personally uplifted by the support and encouragement from John. He was on the panel for my senior project in 2023 to give feedback after presenting and I remember he was very friendly to everyone, including me. I’ve seen him around town a couple times and have found him very easy to talk with and I’m disappointed to hear he may be leaving the City. Hope things turn around.
