An array of artistic and animalistic outfits strut the catwalk for the Port Townsend Student Wearable Art Show.

Youth from across Jefferson County turned out in their uniquely designed duds for two showings at Key City Public Theatre on Saturday, March 4.

After all the students’ outfits had a chance in the spotlight, the judges announced the winners with “Hunt Gone Wrong” by Quilcene senior Jeremiah Satterrlee taking “Best in Show.” His outfit was meant to represent the gruesome twosome of a hunter and deer twisted together with a fence.

Quilcene seventh-grader Kai Campbell took second place with “Grandparent’s Oddities” including a finger-knit lampshade hat.

Quilcene sophomore Anna Munn and senior Ashley Jones took third for their “Warped Bloom,” modeled by Munn who transformed from a surreal hour-glass shape into a floral gown with a dress made using hoops and “lots and lots of sewing.”
