Stories of Make Music Day sought

Organizers of Make Music Day, which took place June 21, are collecting stories, images and sounds for a multimedia collage to be shared online and via radio and television in the fall.

“We were ready for a great day last Wednesday, but had no idea how much magic would pop up everywhere in our very musical town,” said event producer Judith-Kate Friedman of Songwriting Works.

There are three ways to participate in the collection:

1. Send pictures, photos, videos, stories or impressions of Make Music Day to

songwritingworks@gmail.com or relate them through voice mail at 385-1160.

2. Take a short survey to capture your experience and share ideas for next year at tinyurl.com/makemusicsurvey. (All respondents can receive a free song download.)

3. Contact Songwriting Works to volunteer creative or administrative skills for the digital storytelling project and a harvesttime event in the fall, or to contribute in other ways.

A steering council for Make Music Day 2018 is now forming, said Friedman.
