Steffan Omray passed on to his next adventure on Saturday, Nov. 6, six days before his 64th birthday, at the UW Medical Center in Seattle.

He was born in Nijmegen, Netherlands.  When he was 12, he immigrated with his family to Abbotsford, B.C.  He moved to Washington state in 2004.

He is so deeply missed and immensely loved by his mother Teresa; his wife “Madhu” Laurene; his sister Bonita; his half-brothers Patrick, Robert, Karoly, step-brother Warner; and respectively their wives Karen, Christine, Els and Hansje; his half-brother Gabor; his sisters and brothers-in-law Yi, Darby, David and Dave; his numerous nieces and nephews; as well as dearly remembered by many other family members, friends, colleagues and clients.

Steffan was unforgettable.  He’ll be forever appreciated for his mischievous and delightful humour, creative generosity, deep wisdom and insight, inclusive compassion, endless curiosity, inspiring and enlightening sharing of knowledge on countless subjects, his love of music, and his passion for serving others.  He inspired us with his quiet strength when faced with adversity, his profound love of his wife, family members, friends, animals, trees, and his extensive knowledge of whole-person health and spiritual awakening. He was lots of fun and always ready to offer a helpful, innovative, and effective idea or remedy for anyone in need.

Being around Steffan always seemed to leave people feeling uplifted in some way.  His wife often said, “Everyone loves Steffan.”  The gifts from his radiant heart and mind keep on giving.  What a beautiful and profound legacy from a beautiful soul! In response to Steffan’s email signature, “May great things awaken in you!” we say “Thank you Steffan!” for all the ways you have awakened the best in us! We love you now and forever!
