A 23-year-old Maple Valley man was injured in a two-car crash Saturday on Highway 20 after he lost control of his 1990 Corolla Toyota and hit a 2009 Chevrolet Impala.
Both vehicles were totaled in the collision.
The Washington State Patrol said the Maple Valley man caused the crash by speeding too fast for conditions; charges were pending Saturday.
The collision occurred near the traffic light on Highway 20 and Highway 19 just after 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27.
The driver of the Impala, a 35-year-old Port Townsend woman, was not hurt in the crash.
The Maple Valley man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle as a precautionary measure, according to the State Patrol.
Both lanes of the highway were temporarily blocked after the crash but were reopened by 3 p.m.
