The Spartans stymied East Jefferson in girls tennis last week on Bainbridge High’s home courts.
Elli Prickett of Bainbridge topped Maddie Hess in No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-4.
In No. 2 singles, the Spartans’ Ella Parker claimed a two-set win over Juniper Cervenko, 6-0, 6-0.
The Spartans also emerged victorious in No. 3 singles play, with Kristina Walker pounding past Caitlyn Boyd of East Jefferson, 6-2, 6-0.
The Spartans’ good fortune continued in doubles.
In No. 1 doubles, EJ’s Tiffany Bell and Sophia Arnovitz came up a bit short to Lily Alnwick and Aya Gatto, 6-4. 6-1.
Bainbridge’s No. 2 pairing of Juliette Dashe and Emily Knighton collected a 4-6, 6-2, 10-5 win in an extended battle against EJ’s Olivia Mattern and Myka Briggs.
In No. 3 doubles, Lily Morrison and Sophie Frank of EJ were bested by Bainbridge’s Molly Montgomery and Ruby Morrow, 6-0, 6-1.
