As a subscriber to The Leader and resident of our fine town, I was disappointed to see that headline chosen for an article by Republican party mouthpiece Lisa Farr, which quoted her advice to readers to regard those in our community waving anti-Trump signs in demonstration as being funded and controlled by George Soros.
I was one of the sign wavers who clogged the sidewalks on both sides of Sims Way on Saturday, from the new roundabout to the Safeway intersection. I am still waiting for my check from Mr. Soros. And I never received instructions for what my sign should say. Perhaps Ms. Farr is confusing me and my ilk with the sychophantic followers of Elon Musk and his White House buddy?
Saturday’s demonstration was an impressive outpouring of local reaction to Trump’s first two months of devastation, and it is a shame that The Leader’s online issue the very next day so completely failed to capture it.
