The vehicle was tagged with a 24-hour removal notice.

At 3:18 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5 in Brinnon, a caller said there was a suspicious-looking multi-colored pickup with a canopy that was parked in the driveway of a vacant house for sale.

The truck had a broken-out window that was covered with plastic. A person was seen near the back of the vehicle.

The caller said her husband was going to check on the situation and they would call back if law enforcement was needed.

At 3:22 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5 in Brinnon, a resident reported the theft of two propane tanks.

The caller had gotten a ride into Brinnon to fill up two tanks, a large one and a small one.

The tanks were left at the end of the driveway while the caller made a trip back up to his home through the snow. The tanks were gone when he got back 10 minutes later

The tanks were valued at $200.

At 7:24 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5 in Port Hadlock, a burglary was reported at a storage unit.

The owner of the storage facility found the door to a storage unit had been damaged and the door was found partially up.

No people or vehicles were found nearby at the time the damage was discovered.

The caller also said 12 units had been broken into recently, and $9,000 in cash had been taken from the office in the past week, as well as $19,000 in jewelry and three solid bronze ornate bells that were valued at $3,000.
