Salem passed away at the age of 39 at his home in Yuma, Arizona. Salem graduated from Port Townsend High School in 1997 and then worked as a commercial fisherman in Alaska. Salem was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Melody Young. Salem leaves behind his fiancé Ghaby Barraza of Yuma, AZ, his brother Adam Young and sister Zoe Young of Mexico, and his sister Mercedes Eckroth of Olympia, WA.
