The Port Townsend Police Department received a total of 146 calls between Friday, Jan. 21, and Thursday, Jan. 27.  Below are selected reports.

At 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, a person who had parked their Lexus on Water Street said someone had stolen their car. The caller had walked around for a few hours, and when they returned, their car was gone. They told officers they believed it was locked.

Before officers could respond, the person called back to say they had located their car.

At 6:20 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, someone complained of loud music at the Fort Worden Campground. Officers patrolled the area, but no loud music was heard.

At 8:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, an employee in the 600 block of Sheridan Street reported that someone had stuck anti-vaxx stickers to a pole in front of the building.

At 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, a caller in the 1600 block of Hill Street reported that someone had tried to steal their vehicle. The ignition was punched out and the lights were broken. There was no suspect.

At noon Monday, Jan. 24, a caller from the 500 block of U Street said they were concerned about numerous cars parked close to the pavement.

Officers arrived and determined the cars were not obstructing anything or too close to the roadway.

At 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, two 13-year-olds were reported missing from Blue Heron Middle School. Officers contacted the girls in the 1800 block of Sheridan Street at one of the girl’s houses. Officers told the girls’ mothers that a runaway juvenile report would be given to juvenile court.

The mothers wanted the officers to scare the girls, but officers said that was not what they were there to do. The girls were transported back to school, and both mothers were very grateful.

At 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, in the 2500 block of Crest Avenue, a caller said that a dementia patient was in the tub screaming and yelling at his assistant. He then left the tub and walked nude through the facility.

Eventually the patient calmed down and went to sleep.
