The Washington State Department of Transportation is advising travelers who use Flagler Road (Highway 116) on or off Marrowstone Island about roadside mowing that may prompt traffic delays.
Drivers should plan extra time to help avoid delays.
From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, May 24 through Thursday, May 27, WSDOT maintenance crews will mow from the junction of Highway 19 and Flagler Road to Mumby Road.
During the work, travelers will encounter one-way alternating conditions.
Mowing and other maintenance activities are subject to weather conditions and may be rescheduled, officials noted.
Mowing is part of WSDOT’s vegetation management program where crews work to help travelers see signs and other traffic along state highways.
