The Rivals rolled past the Pirates as East Jefferson beat Vashon Island High in girls volleyball Monday night in Port Townsend.
East Jefferson won the varsity matchup 3-0.
The varsity squad won the first set, 25-16, and the second set, 25-13, before wrapping things up in the third, 25-20.
Akira Anderson had two aces and seven kills for the Rivals, while Sophie Patterson added one block and three kills.
Macy Aumock contributed two aces, while Jessi Hawley finished the night with two aces, three kills, and one block.
Also stepping up was Ellise Gardner with five aces and a block, and Alyssa Vandenberg with two aces and two blocks.
The varsity win pushed the Rivals’ record to 2-5.
In junior varsity play, the Rivals rocketed to a 3-0 victory, as well.
EJ won by scores of 25-20, 25-20, and 15-12.
Makayla Vandenberg paced the Rivals with three aces, one kill, and one block.
Alita Aldana added an ace, while teammate Rowan Santerre contributed two aces and a block.
Sophia Petta had aces against the Pirates, while Dilery Salcedo had an ace and a block, and Luna Moloitis had two kills.
The Rivals were scheduled to play Bellevue on the road Wednesday and Annie Wright Schools at home in Chimacum Thursday.
