Both East Jefferson Rivals boys and girls basketball teams’ Friday matchups were cancelled on Friday due to snow-related weather concerns.
The girls varsity basketball team was scheduled to face Klahowya Secondary School Friday, Dec. 2 at home at Port Townsend High, but the event was called off due to travel concerns with Klahowya players in Silverdale.
The Kitsap Peninsula was expected to receive multiple inches of snow on Friday, with a Winter Storm Warning in effect until Dec. 3.
The boys were scheduled to face Klahowya at Silverdale, but that matchup was cancelled for weather-related concerns as well.
Both EJ boys and girls basketball teams were scheduled to face North Mason High School on Monday, with the girls facing North Mason in Belfair and the Rivals boys playing them at home in Chimacum.
