Senior Peyton Clanton of Port Townsend High School and the East Jefferson Cheer squad received the award of Athlete of the Week by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association for the week of Nov. 7 through Nov. 13.
Clanton was one of 12 students across Washington state chosen for the honors. The award celebrates student-athletes for their outstanding performances and impactful contributions to their communities.
She received a letter of recognition from Mick Hoffman, WIAA’s executive director, a certificate of achievement, and a $25 gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods for her hard work.
