Richard Sullivan a long time resident of Washington passed away Wednesday, Sept. 20 in his home in Brinnon. Rich was 72 years old and is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joy. He has a surviving sister Ruth Ann,  an older brother Walter and too many nieces and nephews to mention. Rich was born in Newark NJ where he lived for the first 20 years of his life.

Rich was avid sports enthusiast having played football in high school and college. He also played semi-pro ball for the Newark Bears for a portion of a season. He enjoyed baseball, tennis and became an avid golfer in his later years.

He began his career in the Navy as Data Systems Technician during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged he worked for several high tech companies in the computer industry in Silicon Valley in California. He retired from the corporate world in 1992. Then 1997 he moved his family to Washington State after exploring several other areas of the country in which to retire.

Rich's funeral service will be held at Kosec Funeral home in Port Townsend on Wednesday Sept. 27th.

beginning at noon in the chapel where he will receive a military honors servcie followed by a viewing from 1-6 for friends and family to say goodbye.   All are welcome. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to the American Cancer Society.
