Get out the lawn chairs and be ready to enjoy the 82nd Rhododendron Festival Grand Parade, which starts at 1 p.m. in Uptown on Lawrence Street at the fire hall and proceeds downhill to Monroe Street and then to Water street, turning to end on Adams Street.

After the parade, everyone is welcome to gather at Pope Marine Park for the fifth annual Cake Picnic ,where 2,000 slices of free cake and a party is planned. Here’s the list of entries as of Monday, May 15.
