Resisting bad government

Posted

This letter is to share my thoughts on the basic rights of protesting.

At this point in our lives it seems essential that each of us looks into our minds and hearts to address what is happening to our government and how fragile our lives would be without resisting to all the lies and inequalities that are upon us.

By joining together like  we did on Feb. 20 in front of the Courthouse we shared our anger, anxiety, frustration in a collective way. By singing and raising our voices we were not indifferent to all the dangers facing our country right now.

I felt such joy to see so many women, men, students and children joining together like one family, different but united in our hopes for change.

When we sang songs and raised our many signs the skies seemed to open wider! To resist and keep resisting is our only hope to keep our democracy and constitution alive and meaningful.
