Reservoir maintenance creates low water pressure in most of Port Townsend

Posted

People in the “low elevation” section of Port Townsend could experience low water pressure while maintenance is performed on a reservoir tank.

The City of Port Townsend issued the announcement about 4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3. The maintenance work is expected to be complete by Monday, Feb. 6.

While the water level in one reservoir tank is being lowered to perform maintenance, some water customers in the low elevation service zone may experience temporary low water pressure.

According to a MAP the city linked to the announcement, the majority of city water customers seem to be subject to low water pressure during the maintenance project, aside from Morgan Hill and most of the area east of Hastings Avenue and south of Hancock Street.

Customers with questions are invited to call the City of Port Townsend at 379-5001.
