Clallam-Jefferson County Pro Bono Lawyers will present a free program offering legal advice for members of the public on Saturday, June 26.
A legal aid clinic is planned, and the event gives residents the chance to address their civil legal issues in one-on-one consultations with volunteer lawyers.
Due to the pandemic, consultations will be offered either by phone or by Zoom conference.
Legal aid clinics are geared to help those who are financially unable to otherwise access a lawyer, according to organizers of the event. Volunteer attorneys will be available from 10 a.m. to noon to answer legal questions, direct people to local services that might be helpful, and to explain the legal process.
Clients must pre-register by calling 360-504-2422, or by emailing probonolawyers@gmail.com or probonomary@gmail.com, no later than Friday, June 18.
Once registered, additional directions for the event will be provided. Attendees are also encouraged to have relevant legal documents with them during their consultations.
For more information, contact Shauna Rogers McClain at 360-504-2422 or email probonolawyers@gmail.com, or Mary Margolis at 360-504-2422 or email probonoMary@gmail.com.
