Quimper Arts hosts art show and sale for members

Posted

Quimper Arts — Port Townsend’s oldest drawing group — will hold a members-only figurative art show and sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6 at the Masonic Lodge in Port Townsend.

Organizers said the goal is to showcase what Quimper Arts is mainly about: making figurative art and portraits in any media from live models.

The event will be a fundraiser for Quimper Arts; proceeds from any sales to be split 50/50 between the artist and Quimper Arts.

The show will also be held in conjunction with the group’s regular Monday live model drawing sessions (models will be clothed), which will be open to the public for anyone wanting to draw or paint for a suggested donation only.

Current members are encouraged to participate in the show and sale, and those who are not but would still like to take part in the show can renew their membership now for 2022 and be a member in good standing for the rest of the year.

Further details about the show will be posted on the Quimper Arts website at https://quimperarts.wordpress.com/.
