The fix-it squad is coming to Quilcene for a JeffCo Repair event at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 20 at Quilcene Schools.
The event will be in conjunction with Quilcene’s Show Us Your Community Night, which will also be serving a free, hot meal to community members.
The JeffCo Repair session is a free, in-person community gathering in which people with repair skills share their time and talents to fix their neighbors’ belongings. Bring your toaster that no longer toasts, sweater with a hole in the elbow, and excitement to get these belongings repaired while also learning how they did it and ways you could do it yourself next time!
JeffCo Repair is a grant-funded project sponsored by Port Townsend Marine Science Center, with the support of Local 2020’s Beyond Waste action group. Grant funding is provided by the Department of Ecology’s Public Participation Grants.
