The Jefferson County Public Utility District will have a planned power outage from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7 in the Port Ludlow area. It is expected to impact 1,971 customers in the greater Port Ludlow area.
The outage will extend south of Highway 104 to the Shine Road and Thorndyke Road regions, as well.
The power shutdown is needed so PUD workers can conduct maintenance at the Port Ludlow substation.
Line crews will also be working along Beaver Valley Road between Swansonville Road and Oak Bay Road, and drivers will see traffic revisions and flaggers in the area as crews conduct multiple switching operations.
Traffic will be reduced to a single lane at each switching location to make room for line trucks.
An automated call notification from the PUD will be sent to affected customers and business prior to Feb 7.
Outage updates will be available on the PUD’s social media pages, as well as on the utility’s website, jeffpud.org.
