Public hearing scheduled for Jefferson Transit's 2021-2026 Transit Development Plan

Jefferson Transit will hold a public hearing next week to get comment on the agency's 2021-2026 Transit Development Plan/Transportation Improvement Plan.

The meeting is planned for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 27.

The hearing will be entirely on the phone, and in-person attendance will not be allowed.

Transit staff will present the comments received to date before the public hearing begins.

Citizens can submit public comments remotely to Jefferson Transit by email. Email comments to speck@jeffersontransit.com, by 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 27.

Comments will be read aloud by staff for up to three minute’s during the meeting’s public comment period.

A board discussion will follow.

The Jefferson Transit Authority Board is made up of County Commissioner Kate Dean, County Commissioner Heidi Eisenhour, County Commissioner Greg Brotherton, Port Townsend Councilmember Ariel Speser, Port Townsend Councilmember David Faber, and David Jorgensen, a non-voting member who represents the interests of Amalgamated Transit Union No. 587.
