No doubt about it — County Commissioner Greg Brotherton is in need of medical help. Otherwise, it’s the “booby-hatch” for sure.

His suggestion that Manresa Castle be purchased to accommodate worker housing has to be one of the dumbest notions aired by those who decide for us. Such a thought might put anyone else off the ballot — or better yet, in a nuthouse. Let us hope that no one is paying attention, and that his present term be his last in office!

You know, it’s one thing to question an elected official with at least a modicum of civility, even if you’re angry with him. That’s citizenship. It’s quite another to publicly and baselessly mock him with mental health insults. I am by no means a fan of Mr Brotherton, either, but by printing this degraded pointless attack, the Leader as well as you, Mr Wexman, has crossed the line. Mockery is a rust that corrodes all it touches.

Well, Todd, you did achieve one result with your little rant this week, and that is most likely to increase the support for Greg Brotherton in future elections. In the meantime, let's hear your proposed solution for housing workers that makes more sense.
