The Port Townsend Police Department received a total of 123 calls between Friday, Nov. 11, and Thursday, Nov. 17. Below are selected reports.

At 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, a parent in the 1600 block of Grant Street reported harassment going on between her son and other kids on the bus. She said her son had been hit by a second- or third-grader on the bus, and that he was being bullied.

The parent said she would follow up with the school about the incident.

At 7:20 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, in the 700 block of Kearney Street, an employee reported a man in his 80s who was getting in people’s faces and yelling at them, threatening to hurt them with a hammer.

The man was in an assisted living facility, and he put a finger in the face of a nurse and was being verbally combative.

Officers spoke to the man, and he said the nurses in the facility were being mean and nasty to him and that he doesn’t have to take that. The man possibly wasn’t taking his medications, and employees said they’d contact the police again if the man does anything physical.

At 7:35 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, a theft was reported in the 400 block of West Sims Way after a man — who’d been trespassed prior from a store — stole a $12 platter of sushi from the location. The man was sitting at a nearby park bench when the theft was reported, but he had already left by the time police arrived.

At 10:25 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, two sisters were having a feud.

One of the girls told law enforcement that her sister would not leave her alone and was yelling at her. No assault had occurred and the parents decided to drive one of the siblings to Olympia since the current living conditions weren’t working for the sisters.

At 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Kah Tai Lagoon, a resident reported hearing a man screaming near the lagoon for around an hour.

Officers located a man standing in the lagoon, jumping around and waving his arms. No crime had occurred and he told the officers he would soon return to the shore. Some time later, around 12:30 a.m. a caller reported hearing a man screaming in the same location. Officers searched the area on foot but did not locate anyone.

At 2:25 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, in the 1100 block of Water Street, a caller told police that a $400 MacBook Pro had been taken from a vehicle. No suspect information was available.

At 12:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, a disturbance was reported in the 400 block of West Sims Way after a man carrying a guitar started screaming obscenities at passersby.

Officers contacted the man. He said he wasn’t yelling at anyone and was waiting for the bus.

The officers were aware about an ongoing issue with the man screaming at people. No crime had occurred, but the man was warned for his disorderly behavior.
