Five Port Ludlow performers are to be presenting "The Cemetery Club" by Ivan Menchell in two performances, May 12 and 13 at the Port Ludlow Beach Club, 121 Marina View Drive. Both performances are at 6 p.m. Tickets are $9 at the door.
Ida, Lucille and Doris are three Jewish widows from Queens who meet monthly for tea and wisecracks before paying visits to their deceased husbands at the cemetery. When Sam, the handsome and eligible widower is spotted paying his respects to his deceased wife, mourning begins to recede as romance fills the air. One widower and three widows make sparks fly. Through laughter and some tears, this story explores the question: as we grow old, can we enjoy the feeling of having had enough or should we continue to seek something new?
