Port Gamble offers sneak preview of Port Townsend Film Festival

Before the 25th annual Port Townsend Film Festival (PTFF) comes to downtown PT from Sept. 19-22, Port Gamble plans to offer a sneak peek preview of this year’s film festival selection on Saturday, Aug. 24.

Jane Wilder, speaking for the town of Port Gamble and the Port Gamble Theater, is inviting Puget Sound cinephiles to a two-hour screening of assorted short films from 3-5 p.m. that “highlight the innovative spirit and talent of filmmakers from across the country.”

Wilder hopes the ticketed event will attract film enthusiasts and community members alike, with an afternoon of not only “captivating” short films, but also “exciting” movie trailers and insider announcements from the PTFF team, offering “a glimpse into the much-anticipated” festival scheduled for September.

Danielle McClelland, executive director of PTFF, noted that the trailers would be for this year’s feature films, and proudly touted the Port Gamble screening as part of the festival’s outreach.

“This event offers a unique opportunity for both newcomers and returning attendees to experience the ambiance of historic Port Gamble, while immersing themselves in the vibrant world of cinema,” Wilder said.

Port Gamble Townsite Manager Pete Orbea added that the event would provide “a glimpse of the festival’s magic and creativity, setting the stage for what promises to be an extraordinary celebration in September.”

Tickets are $10 per person, and available at ptfilm.org/events/sneak-preview-port-gamble-theater.
